Love Me Body and Soul

What is the Body
to The Soul?

If your belief system includes the acknowledgement that the body is limited but the soul is infinite; you may question why is the body even needed?

When that question comes to mind on occasion; especially when feeling physical pain…I’m beginning to believe more thought must be given to understand the harmony that must exist between The Body and The Soul.

As was said to be recorded by Aristotle who most likely studied Kemetic teachings:
The Soul of a living being is associated to be “within” (enclosed) form and matter along with energy/power.  This enclosure can be referred to as The Body

From the teachings I deduct, The Soul has use of The Body for (1) awareness and acknowledgement of  The Senses; (2) using the The Heart & Brain to produce rational thinking; (3) powering and providing The Soul with energy in a nutritive way; (4) perpetuating The Soul with a drive for purpose in the form of appetite; (5) and a means of movement.

The Senses – from my studies thus far, sensitivity is a “flesh” attribute and once our souls leave the earthly ream, there is no need of sensitivity.  Some master teachers are training students to either control or suppress their sensitivity (good and bad); while professions for psychology help hurting people channel towards positive sensitivity.   I feel very confident in believing senses can be a very strong motivator...strong enough to make one remove their hand from fire or kill someone for love of another. My best guess at this time in my life is... The Senses... driven by a very healthy and virtuous soul is an awesome motivator in contribution to purpose.  Therefore, I would like to believe that The Soul uses The Body’s senses to motivate The Body to make change…hopefully in a positive manner towards purpose.

The Heart & Brain – it is recent understanding for me that human beings do better thinking from the heart in conjunction with the brain.  This understanding has led me believe I best rationalize things by first going to The Heart for compassionate wisdom and only then to The Brain to validate logical decision making.  As with the theories of duality, I believe these two attributes of The Body are a powerhouse when used together.  Apart, I have experienced disaster after disaster; ie…The Heart can be too trusting/empathetic/careless and The Brain can be too cautious/insensitive/analytic. With free will, I’m concluding at this time, The Soul has need to rationalize earthly instances that come by use of The Heart & The Brain.

Power & Energy – again, as I believe The Soul is not limited to the earth, but dwells in the body while on earth…The Body is available to manage power and energy in physical ways; where the The Soul can manipulate power/energy by metaphysical means.  Any needs The Body has for earthly power can be better energized by The Soul’s power to operate in the metaphysical realm.  Instances of “will power” and “miracles” can probably be attributed to the power of the The Soul.

Appetite – unfortunately, most beings don’t make a voluntary move without cravings or being driven to it.  The Soul resides on earth for its purpose.  The Body can provide an appetite to pursue the purpose.

Movement – again on earth, the soul moves along with its body.  I have no doubt The Soul can move outside the body on its own abilities; but The Soul’s purpose on earth involves movement of The Body...for all the above listed attributes.

So there you have it; using those attributes associated with Aristotle…I can rationalize why The Soul rightfully so resides in a formed-matter body.  It might be wise to mention here that ever body is unique in design and abilities.  For this, it might be wise to assume each soul is just as diverse.  I’m not sure if our bodies are ever meant to be completely joined by some matrix; but definitely believe our souls belong connected.

Duality and Balance

Duality and Balance

So, I’ve been reading much on how we live in the Pieces Area which represents a time of duality.

However, the overreaching truth seems to be…we must find balance in everything to achieve peace, happiness, love and Oneness. So if duality is our “true” nature…how do we find balance?  Here are some of my observations:

1.  Duality is needed to achieve balance?  Maybe it is true we are created from One; but to continue creation there must be Two?  With Two comes duality:
            Female-Male              Left-Right        Up-Down
           Positive-Negative        Light-Dark       Hard-Soft
           East-West                    Large-Small     Happy-Sad                   Etc….

But the good part about Two is they are opposites.  Opposites attract and come together to form One again.  So from this principle in the perfect sense:
1+1 = 1
long enough to multiply and change the overall existence to
1+1 = 3 or more.

This is Not the math I was taught!  But it works...

 2.  Unbalanced existence is chaos.  When 1+1 cannot come together to achieve One; the ones seem to repel each other and nothing harmoniously can be created but rather an attempt to destroy seems more evident.  If the principle “matter/energy can’t be created or destroyed” is valid; chaos resides in the transformation of matter/energy during unbalance instead of harmony/peace.  So the more traditional equation fits:  1+1 = 2 (unbalanced-individuals)

Add multi-media suggested individualism to question…Is chaos the NEW Standard???

The two points above are enough to chew on for a while.  If as we are in the world (no escaping), AND the world is set about duality (something we can’t change); maybe it is our ultimate challenge (and purpose) to assure we are engaging in a more “balanced” scenario of duality?

Forget You!

Deepak Chopra says: "There is no holy life. There is no war between good and evil. There is no sin and no redemption. None of these things matter to the real you. But they all matter hugely to the false you, the one who believes in the separate self. You have tried to take your separate self, with all its loneliness and anxiety and pride, to the door of enlightenment. But it will never go through, because it is a ghost." https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.deepakchopra

Dr Chopra on the ego

Deepak Chopra says: "The Ego, however, is not who you really are. The ego is your self-image; it is your social mask; it is the role you are playing. Your social mask thrives on approval. It wants control, and it is sustained by power, because it lives in fear." https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.deepakchopra

Circle, Square, Triangle Sacred Geometry Thoughts

My Thoughts on Sacred Geometry :-)

Circle…continuation unless something extreme acts on it.  A positive-progressive circle can keep you happy, healthy, peaceful and enlightened.  A negative-destructive circle will trap you in sorrow, sickness, chaos and ignorance.  Personal auras look like circles of containment.

Square…represents direction and limits.  With four corners, there are always four options for destination, but you can only choose one direction at a time.  To move toward one corner or direction requires returning from it before changing direction.  The limitations we put on ourselves can be described as boxes or multi-dimensional squares.

Triangle…the symbol of starting with stability and growing upward at a step (angle) pace. In most cases, what it takes to make it to the top of a triangle (not easy) will keep you from every descending downward again.  There is less space at the top of the triangle, so thoughts must be light and efficient.

DO…put your triangle into a circle.
DON’T…put your triangle into a square.
DO…travel all the corners of a square before you are satisfied.
DON’T…stay in the square forever, even if you need to move to another square.
DO…keep your circle colorings transparent enough for you to see out of.
DON’T…let too many people into your circle; it should be peaceful and comfortable at all times.

Comments on the book Egyptian Yoga - Choice, Truth, Higher Self

These comments are as a result from reading and studying through the book Egyptian Yoga by Dr. Muata Ashby.

Comment Precursors:
1.  GOD spelled with all capitalization is the one supreme source; (Ntr).
2.  A Goddess/God spelled with one upper-case and then lower-case letters is an immortal-human (enlightened).
3.  A goddess/god with all lower-case letters is more of an attribute of GOD for a Goddess/God to exhibit into their lifestyle.

Two Roads of Choice
Two roads can be chosen by all humans with the faculties to think.  (1) Wisdom leads to a healthy, happy and enlighten life; (2) whereas Ignorance promotes negativity, ill health and sorrow. Most would think every human’s choice is for wisdom; but wisdom requires patience, self-control, compassion, study and many other attributes that seem impossible to our nuclear-microwave lifestyles.  In the movie “Matrix” it was demonstrated how one enlightened guy chose to go back into the Matrix of Ignorance because he was tired of trying to live with the truth.  So now when I encounter people who insist on presenting themselves and their world shaped within “small thinking”; I try to remember how much easier it probably is for some to choose ignorance over what is true-real-wise.

It gets really tough sometimes to stay above ignorance when only a fraction of society chooses the Wisdom road.  For instance, it is wise to not use plastic bags that pollute our environment; but not so easy to remember to bring recycle-bags to the store for every shopping instance.  However, wisdom is properly applied knowledge.  Once we know how toxic plastic bags can be, a wise woman will make it her life-style to always travel with a recycle-bag or find a way to carry purchases with no bag at all.  Initially, it may seem the road of Ignorance is less painful a life-style; but coming home to find plastic bags stuck in the trees, dead wild-life from eating plastic or harmful gas emitted to the air from burning plastic is far more painful.  Studying on what I call the 42-Principals of Ma’at is a start to living a more wise life.  These principals are documented in ancient writings and believed to have promoted fairness and harmony in the ancient civilizations.  It is said, at bodily death, the heart (soul) will be weighed against a feather…and those who practice Ma’at will possess a heart-soul light enough to enter eternity.

Ma’at is depicted as a goddess with hawk-like wings.

Djehuti is the attribute for wisdom.

Real Truth
There is an ancient Egyptian quote…“Self-Knowledge is the basis of true knowledge.” mentioned in the Egyptian Yoga book that deserves thought.  After attending a Christian church for most of 50-years; going and teaching Sunday school, I wonder if ever there was a time to seriously consider how much of we seek of ourselves for divine knowledge?  Today when reflecting on the Christian philosophy that the only way to salvation is through Christ; I now understand that Christ-hood is found in each individual (just as the bible suggests).  Therefore our salvation is through Self and Truth.  One meditation leader I often listen to is adamant that “what is real is You exist!” And actually, from a personal perspective, Self is as Real as it gets for me.  The Egyptian Yoga book explains that our bodies are only what our minds believe them to be; and without a pure mind, we can’t correctly assess what is real (the truth).  The key is to NOT allow the experiences of “the world” to control/confuse/agitate the mind.  It can be agreed that drama from the world will at some time pass away, but we need a healthy soul for eternity.  Once thoughts on worldliness can be controlled, a “Unified Field Theory” or “Oneness” can be achieved where we: love all people/things; detach from possessions and passions; balance the ego and the body can connect to the mind in a healthy way that WILL purify our connection to The Source.  With a pure connection we can experience the “Ultimate Peace” …HOTEP (HTP).

Higher Self versus Lower Self
The Egyptian Yoga book was great at describing the difference between higher and lower self.  At the time of this posting, I've taken yoga classes for about 6-months continuously.  But the true meaning of yoking (yoga) didn't make sense until understanding we have a higher and lower self.  The ancient hieroglyphics usually depict leadership wearing either Upper or Lower Egypt headpieces.  More interesting, the southern part of Egypt is described as “Upper Egypt” and the northern Nile area is considered “Lower Egypt.”  The story goes that the Upper Egyptian king from the south conquered the north and designated both areas worship the same GOD by conjoining the names from the two different areas.  The lesson from of the story is that the Upper Egypt ruler used selfless consideration and allowed the northern name for GOD “Atum” be mentioned before the southern name “Ra”; thus a collaborative naming convention “Atum-Ra.”  My conclusions:
-Upper Egypt: south: Higher Self
-Lower Egypt: north: Lower Self
-Upper reaches south
-Lower reaches north
-Upper leads selflessly: Ra
-GOD is the same no matter what direction

The upper-lower self-concept expands on my early instruction on how to avoid a fight by “thinking higher than the person who is trying to persecute you.”  In actuality, if my emotional/egotistical lower-self is subdued by my peace-loving-enlightened higher-self, I’m never actively participating in any sort of discomforting situation no matter what the other participant(s) engages in.  This practice is much needed for situations we can’t avoid in relationships, work-job situations and victimization.  However, after living life driven by ego and passions for so long, it will definitely take a lot of patience, practice and wisdom…but with pure intent it will happen.

Real Thinking - Hotep Ptah

In reading some of the "Mysteries" of Kemet, I'm learning of the God-attribute Ptah.

Ptah is described by:
-life
-earthly nature
-consciousness
-intelligence
-creator of earthly Gods

However, what is profound for me is the word Hotep, meaning supreme peace and satisfaction while in our physical bodies, is Kemetically spelled Htp.

Ptah is Kemetically spelled Pth = Htp in reverse.

I love how all this makes such good sense :-)
